ROFL!
Pelican makes a product that is a VGA converter, but it is for composite cables, to which I was using on the cube. You hook up the composites, and then hook up the converter to the monitor, and the computer. I personally, have had my Wii hooked up with the converter to a Dell 19 in. monitor! So to answer one of the questions in this post, Yes, looked pretty good to me! I would say it looked better on the 19 in. computer monitor, vs. the 36 in. television it was hooked to. But that also depends on the video card you have also, I presume. I'm sure also they make a component cable to VGA converter as well.

You're not hooking it to a computer, just a monitor...I haven't done it but I think the quality would vary depending on how far away you are sitting from it. It should work the same way as hooking it to an HDTV set. The native resolution is higher so it gets stretch unless:a) you're using a CRT, then it might look okay. But if you're using a CRT monitor you might as well use a TV.2) your LCD automatically adjusts the resolution to the input.
VD-W2 goes for $40 on-line, cheapest one I know of yet.

Alright pal. I do exactly this and this is all the stuff I had to get:VGA BOX- can't buy from the site, try ebay or other stores.Wii Component Cable I then hooked it up like this: (---- is a vgacable)DELL MONITOR --- VGA BOX --- COMPUTERThe component cables then plug into the top of the VGA box and link into your Wii.If that doesn't make sense, sorry. None if it did for me when I was trying to do it in the first place.---Now, as for image quality it looks perfectly fine, but it obviously it wont look as good because you're sitting closer (well, depending on how your room is setup).----
Just curious, how would Wii look connected to a 19 inch monitor?
umm...did you mean how does it feel to play a wii on a 19 inch monitor? mines only like 12 or 13 inches and it feels fine. i sit 4 or 5 feet away and play all my games without thinking about the size of the picture. the size dosn't really mater at all as long as you can see it from 3 feet back.
