I never played the first one either. I also heard it was good, and people demanded online. From the initial previews it seems the game is pretty much the same--only with online and a tad better visuals. I read in the IGN hands-on that the Wii Controls add nothing to the game, thus playing basically the same. As good as these journalist say how fun the first BW was, I'm sure they'll pull a double standard and deduct points for it 'playing the same'. Which would be odd considering this is only the second game ofa franchise with a good formula. It may also lose points for not being Wiianized enough...although an over abundance would still get negative feedback.I'm looking foward to this game, as the online aspects alone sound enticing. I hope the single player has just much depth as well.Batallion Wars 2 (BWii), flying under th ...
I am kind of put off from getting it due to there being no headset.

I hope that review staffs also don't downgrade the game because A not made specifically for the Wii and B played it safe and not many changes (other that the online mode).
Nintendo fails to market another great IP. It's like they don't want to sell games sometimes. I mean, they are at an all-time high in profit and earnings and their marketing is still utter you know what.
i agree, nintendo tends to do a crappy job in advertizing their games. just look at the ad they put on tv for metroid prime 3. they made it look like a family friendly game. they should have said, ''metroid prime 3 IT WILL OWN UR SOUL!'' or something like that. another thing to think about, this is going to be an online game focused heavily on strategy, WHERE'S THE VOICE CHAT. im very nervous about that, the only mode that it wont be needed in is versus. butim sure there's going to be co-op in it. im a nintendo fan (obviously) but one thing i DO loathe about nintendo is the fact that they always seem to deliverhardware or software that has the potential to OWN the competition, but it always falls short in somethnig that is so simple, yet crucial.so how r we suppose to handle that?
I never knew the first one existed untill I herd about the seccond one - but it looks great fun and I definately will be getting the seccond one
ill own it first day.

Yeah seriously....I don't know why Kuju made a sequel with the poor sales of the first. Glad they did though. :)
Well it will get at least a 8.5, maybe and hopefuly it gets more of a 9.0 I played the first one and beat it in just a few days, hopefuly this one is longer, but if not I know the online play will be amazing and make up for it.
medal of honour is wiis first online shooter!
I knew about the first one because im a huge fan of advance wars. I just beat the first battalion wars (with the exception of getting the last bonus mission) and wow I was blown away at this game. I am so pumped for the new one
Yeah it is flying under the radar again. Batallion Wars 1 is a great game that's fairly challenging. BWii can only be better with online. I hype it an 8.5.
I won't go higher than an 8.0. Anyway, I think some of you are forgetting that advertising comes with great cost. I see ads up all over the internet, but I don't think we'll ever see a Nintendo game marketed like Halo 3.
Nintendo doesn't seem to market any game thats not been made for the family/casual portion of the Wii market. I've seen loads of adverts for the channels but only a few for the games, are the this rubbish in NA??

of course its flying under the radar....its not even on the top 30 listit doesnt stand a chance in a year owned by big dogs
I have hope this game might be a huge sleeper success, kinda like trauma ceneter
The first one is great and I also wonder where the info is, I am starting to think it will be delayed. Nintendo is publishing the game themselves so who knows what they could pull out during the next few days, but no one has played the single player campaign so I don't know.
