I have been tossing the question around in my head for awhile and im still not sure... I loved super mario 64 when i was a kid and really wanna play the hell out of this too. My main issue is money... Theres so many good games coming out right now and its just getting hard to choose. If i get a wii obviously there are other games ill be intrested in but my main thing is i want smg. Few questions1: If i buy a wii is there anything else i need for it? I dont plan on doing any or much multiplayer. 2: Hows the games look on a hdtv? I know its still 480p but dose it look any sharper?3: Whats there to look forward to in the future? I dont really keep up with the wii. Should i get a Wii for SMG?

[/QUOTE]1- you may want to purchase a wii points card to download super mario 64 ( you said you loved it didnt you?) and also a nintnedo wifi connecter it gives your wii internet acess at a fast speed , faster then cable modem ..2- i have an hd-tv but its max is 480p cause its alittle small but wii looks great on mine, if yours is greater than 480p you may want to purchace the compenet cabes it makes it look sharper.... 3- SUPER SMASH BROTHER BRAWL!!!!!! / mario cart wii / smg / metroid prime 3 corruption ( already out / zelda tp ( already out) / battalion wars 2 / medal of honor heros ( 32 player online) / + many more Should i get a Wii for SMG?
Ok, thanks, ill stick with ethernet as thats how i have my room networked. And yea ill have to get super mario 64. My main issue is finding a damn wii, seems like all there are is bundles right now and i cant order online. Ill have like 350 bucks after i get pain tomorrow so that should be ennough for a wii and a game. (think ill get the new paper mario or somthing to start off).

Damn, i forgot all about Geometry Wars: Galaxies i loved retro revolved on my 360 even tho i suck. I gotta get that.
i cant answer all your questions, but i can tell you its not worth getting it for just one game. Other games coming out for it include super smash bros brawl, no more heroes, tales of symphonia 2, mario kart wii, resident evil umbrella chronicles, and more.
Games look good on HDTV's, when you get the component cables.
future games, check out IGN's list of releases.
No, one game isn't worth buying a system for. If your interested in a bunch of upcoming games then go for it but it's a waste of money if you are really only looking foward to one game or buying it for SMG. We can't really tell you how good the game is either because it isn't out yet. I own a wii and I don't know if I'll even get it yet because I don't like games that are only single player and only take 15 hours to beat. It they make it a 30 hour at least experience then I will buy it.
I'm getting a Wii just for SMG, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, some other games that I'm looking forward to are Manhunt 2, Bully, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2, Sadness, and Rayman 2 :D
you should get a wii cause its a nintendo wii, and you also get a wii so there would be 1 less of a person askin if they should buy a wii.
If somone is interested in SMG I believe they will be interested in a lot more games for the Wii
there more games then smg to make u get the wii
3. nothing
Wow, am Ithe first person to say ''yes'' to getting a Wii for SMG? I only got a gC for Melee that I don't regret that decision one bit. In fact, it's one of the best decisions I made. There are definitely other games worth your time. If you didn't get a Gamecube it's wise to do some bargin bin shopping. Otherwise just hop into the big 1st party games and whatever you're interested in.
I don't think buying a console for one game is worth it. S:Look into other games. I'm sure you'll find other games you like.
Na, i would never buy a console if i just wanted one game, but smg is the game that made me finallly turn a eye to it. Theres a bunch of games i want already like zelda, metroid and other things. Thanks for your help, im going to try and get one soon if i can find one thats not a stupid bundle. Any suggestions on a long game to start out?

Mario Galaxy will be Nintendo's big game for the Wii this year... I say yeh go for it.
1-i would reccomend 1 extra controller Wii Sports is amazing with 2 players and component cables to get it running in 480p. (that's about $40 for the controller, and $30 for the cables)
2-should look fine so long as you have component cables and not then coposite ones that come with the Wii.
3-There's a lot coming soon. Nintendo keeps updating us on games on games that are coming out within generally a few months, there's no hype going into the games when they've just started deelopment. For example Mario Kart and Wii Fit announced at E3 were only 5-8 months out from release once announced. (There were games announced before Wii's launch that were still a while out but that was to hype the Wii) The future is shaping up nicely.
if you want a really good long game to start out go with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.... if you've already played it on the gamecube though I would go for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption or Super Paper Mario. All 3 of those games are really good.... even if the endings for MP3 and Super Paper Mario are kind of weak.
u guys dont even know what sadness is. but to add another game to that list, monster hunter 3 tales of synphonia 2. i also heard that nintendo was working on ever 40 titles for the wii, and expect rpg coming up
