Playing Wii Horizontal or Vertical?

I was just wondering who plays there Wii in any of these positions? does it really matter?... im just asking because a friend of mine has xbox 360 and heplays it vertical and it screwed up... does anyone know if nintendo had any of these problems so far?Playing Wii Horizontal or Vertical?

mine is horizontal right on top of my 360
I have it vertical unless I'm playing Gamecube games. I think it works a little better when it is vertical, but either way it won't overheat, unless you leave it on stand-by with a disc in it for like 4 months.
Mine barely squeezes into the TV rack vertically so i'm thinking of going back to horizontal.
Unlike the 360 you can shift postions without your disc scratching.

I own all 3, the 360 scratches disk when vertical (sometimes though), I keep the PS3 horizontal because it was a bit too expensive so i dont want it falling over and my wii is vertical because it has a stand that holds it firmly, plus it was designed to be positioned vertical, no issues so far.

Vertical. If it was unsafe, Nintendo wouldn't have given me the stand.
i like to turn my wii on cause it returns the favor and my gf and i like playin w/ my wii standing up...she thinks it looks more sexy vertical

I keep it vertical. It must be weird to always put the disc in upside down.. :P
