mines is doing great. How is your Wii?
So I already own a XBox 360 and Nintendo DS and I am really happy with both of them. The Wii has kind of interested me and I have a few questions about it from people that own it or know about it.How does downloading old Nintendo games work? Do I get a menu like XBox live marketplace and is there a place with 1000s of Nintendos games ready to be purchased? Like since I love Zelda games and think it would be cool to say 'ya I beat all of those games'' would I be able to download the Zelda games I missed?Another question I had was could I use a type of standard controller to play games like Zelda? Most of my games will be played with the Wii mote as it is the main attraction to the system and I have my XBox for normal game play but I would like to play Zelda games the way I fell in love with them. Finally can my DS do any kind of interaction with my Wii? Like will I be able to use my DS as a controller? If I wanted to get the Wii for Chirstmas should I try to get it now? I heard it was all sold out and hard to find. Thanks in advance for all questions answered.
yes, u just go online, get some points, and downloadno standard controllers, like gc ones, its all wiimote, ssbb can use gc controllers though but not can current onesur ds will have some interaction on some compatible games but u cant use it as a controllerand if u want to get one, i suggest u get it now, its gonna be hard during the holidays. if youre really desperate, get the bundles, decent deal cuz u end up using everything in it anyways, bundles are alot easier to find too
How does Twilight Princess play with the Wii mote? I was a little worried at first about Phantom Hourglass but that worked out fine. Is Twilight Princess the same way?
How does Twilight Princess play with the Wii mote? I was a little worried at first about Phantom Hourglass but that worked out fine. Some don't like the fact that you waggle the controller to swing your sword (instead of just pressing a button), but I personally don't mind it at all. And of course aiming is a lot easier with the Wiimote's pointer than it is with an analog stick.

You buy points with a credit card or a ''gift'' card (you enter a serial code to redeem the points) and you select games you want. You may hold on to any unused points as long as you wish. The library is in the thousands (it's about 150 right now) but Nintendo adds three or four games a week.
Another question I had was could I use a type of standard controller to play games like Zelda?
For playing Virtual Console games, you will need a Classic Controller, a Gamecube controller, or for certain games a Wii Remote (without nunchuk). The required controllers will be displayed before you official purchase (of the game itself) is made.
Finally can my DS do any kind of interaction with my Wii? Like will I be able to use my DS as a controller?
Your DS can interact with the Wii. Right now it is limited to Pokemon Battle Revolution. Your DS with a Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl cartridge can send your entire arsenal of Pokemon to be used in the Wii game (they are only copies so nothing will happen to your DS Pokemon). You can use the DS as a controller against another DS in a local head to head match up. Again, that is only for Pokemon Battle Revolution. In the future, you will be able to download demos of DS games on Virtual Console and send them to you DS for your own enjoyment. They will probably be free like on XBL.
If I wanted to get the Wii for Chirstmas should I try to get it now? I heard it was all sold out and hard to find.
Get one before Christmas. If you're American, get it before Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving. It's the worst shopping day of the year.)
i have never played a zelda game in my life(im also 20) and let me tell you, zelda for the wii blew my mind away! i was amazed and every single moment i spent on zelda was very enjoyable. im tell ya, get zelda and the wii, and then mario next month. peAce
I have no idea how my wii is cause I haven't played it in months. I'm just not happy with the direction they are taking it. O well in time the games will come. I hope!!!
The functionality of the DS-Wii connection will been expanded to allow your DS to donwload demos from your wii.
How does downloading old Nintendo games work? Do I get a menu like XBox live marketplace and is there a place with 1000s of Nintendos games ready to be purchased?u connect ur wii via wi fi or with cables with an adapter then you enter the wii shop channel and download the game you want at the mometn there arent 1000s of games but the better ones are there and the list is growing fastwould I be able to download the Zelda games I missedyes i think so i think there is a list somewhere ofthe games in the wii shop.. here it is http://wii.nintendo.com/virtualconsole.jspAnother question I had was could I use a type of standard controller to play games like Zelda?for the old ones note that if you turn ur wiimote 90?left it's almost a nes controler or at least it has the same buttonsand for the newer ones u can buy a gc control (don't buy the ''classic controler'' because it can't be used for gc games and since a gc controller costs the same i don't see any use for it)Finally can my DS do any kind of interaction with my Wii? Like will I be able to use my DS as a controller?i think for pokemon and probabily all games that were compatible GC-game boy color the newer verisonswill be compatible with D, it can be sincronised via wi fi or some sort of wireless connection (with no configuration, i would say plug and play but u don't even plug)If I wanted to get the Wii for Chirstmas should I try to get it now? it is sold out but it isn't really difficult to get because there are new shipments very frecuently only ask when they will receive wiis and go that day or the next one i think the wiis should last more than 2 days in the big shops)
Thank you for all your help. I decided I am going to purchase a Wii. From reading other things a common thing people don't like about it was its graphics weren't as good as the other systems and how it gets boring faster then the other systems. I think both of these issues can be fixed by playing my XBox instead when I notice these problems. It seems the two systems will compliment each other really well.
good luck with ur wii don't waste money in any game now cause next month a lot of good games are coming out
I was thinking of getting Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3 or atleast renting them. I usually rent games that don't have much replay value.
I was thinking of getting Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3 or atleast renting them. It looks like the Wiimakes are the best values as allot of the 3rd party original titles look like they've been rushed to the shelves. If you intend to play through all of ZeldaTP, you may want to buy it instead of renting; it's looong. Metriod (though I haven't tried it yet, I hear it's short) might be a rental considering there's no multiplayer. It's not even a year old so I'm not expecting anything REALLY good for another year or two. In the meantime, I've been playing my PS2 more so go figure.
fine thank you
my wiis dam good
Well,my Wii is fine, aftering having to be sent to Nintendo two times to be fixed.:?
Having a Wii is great. It makes gaming more fun. :)
