How long before we get an F Zero?

F Zero GX was one of the best games last gen imo. I'm actually playing it right now too it's incredible. With some online play and a ranking system in place and the ability to patch the game to stop cheaters. I'd say it could possibly be the best racing game ever. I love F Zero GX that much.Any one else diying for some F Zero? How long before we get an F Zero?
Word man, F-Zero is the reason why I brought a Wii. So I can be F-Zero future proof. I dunno when we will see one though, but I'm betting we will have online play and a ranking system is very possible. I bet snaking will be removed(it should be) and the games difficulty will be toned down so everyone can get into it, but the masters can still be masters. I'm going to admit F-Zero GX is insanely difficult. This is coming from someone who beat the story mode on very hard, so I'm not one of those guys complaining that they couldn't do it.Here is what I want in F-Zero Wii:A track construction editorOnline play, I doubt they can do the full 30 racers. Maybe 16.Improved visuals, mainly lighting, higher res texturing and some AA. But GX visuals were good to meThe rock and roll soundtrack, GX sounded like techno. Which wasn't bad, I just like the original rock inspired music better.Wii remote, classic controller and GCN controller supportOnline ranking systemand tournaments!!I love F-Zero and I'm happy that I'm not the only fan here. How long before we get an F Zero?
I would be up for some F-Zero and it will probably happen. Maybe sometime late next year or early 2009, I say this because I haven't heard one word about it.
F-Zero GX was incredible, played it entire nights, I would be very happy to see a sequel on Wii with online play. Let's hope.
Lol, F-Zero GX... While playing that game I got real dizzy and almost threw up because of the spinning tracks. Its still an awesome game and I'd like to see a sequel.
not 2 long
Someone said a track editor, that would be a sweet idea I think. It could be a while before we see an F-Zero though especially with Mario Kart in the pipeline, looks like we'll have to be contempt with GX for now ;)
Unfortunately Miyamoto said he was unimpressed with F-Zero GX - I dunno if he was talking about sales (it did sell poorly) or the quality, but GX is one of the best racing games out there. I really hope for a sequel with online play (an online nintendo racer without snaking = FTW!) and a track editor. The visuals of GX are the best visuals I've ever seen on last generation consoles, so I don't care if they look identical on the Wii version. Music was awesome too.Let's hope Miyamoto softend up, or else we won't be seeing antoehr F-Zero in a longwhile....

However I can see why it could of not been as popular as the others, its the game difficulty. Most people are really really turned off by it and not only that, it linked with the arcade to unlock stuff and arcades are rare in America. So those were bad decisions. If they add what I suggested in my post above, then it would sell much better. Its a great game, but if the difficulty is to high most won't ever give it a chance.
I hope they have it so you can't track skip, but snaking I feel, whether Mario Kart or F Zero, is a skill and to steer properly while snaking is a skill in itself. Again same for Mario Kart.
My one problem with a track editor is that I'm not sure people would take enough time to learn the tracks that are there before creating there own. As long as online you can only play the track already created, you can play created tracks through LAN though.
The last thing is for difficulty I'd want to see a game that's just as difficult built as a difficult game, but they throw some easier difficulties in as a bonus. Are Mii's faces should be able to be posted as decals too.

However that is not so. A good idea with the track editor would be to unlock/buy track pieces as you earn credits from racing. Similar to the shop in GX. And the difficulty NEEDS to be changed, its just to over the top. Way over the top and this what made people stay away from the game. Its either you want to aim this game towards a handful of F-Zero players or you want to try to give everyone the chance to play it. They had a easy mode in GX but it just wasn't rewarding, everything needed to be unlocked had to be done on the insane difficulty levels and not many people could do it. So I really believe the difficulty needs to be changed back to F-Zero X settings. In X the difficulty rate seemed just right and scaled very well.
I would like to see weapons similar to wipe out. This may change the racing style a bit so maybe this feature could be turned off/on.

Nahhhh, thats why I don't like wipeout. The weapons ruin the racing experience. I think its safe to say that weapons will be a feature F-Zero never has.
i have f-zero x on the vc and would love to see a wii version because f-zero x is amazing
Too hard for me (I beated only the normal story mode and that's it) and it won't use tilt controls. Could get for online through.

oh god i hope so. that, burnout 3 and mario kart are my three favorite racing games. if the wii can support 30 player online matches that would be incredable. custom tracks are a good idea, but i want them to bring back the custom cars and put it online. it was a stupid idea to only have that available on a japanese arcade.
